Greenwich Dance Arts
also trains and sends teachers out into private and public schools in the greater Greenwich community, emphasizing training in ballet, modern dance and creative dance making.

These fun and structured dance classes teach ballet and creative movement to children ages 3-14, using a variety of music and props. The older child learns ballet and dance making in a class that also includes tap, hip/hop, jazz, modern dance, Broadway themes and gymnastic fundamentals.

Children learn traditional ballet movement and terms; the class also teaches movement through short dance-story forms, songs and games.  Constructive dance making encourage creative input from the children in each class, and introduces reading and math readiness through movement.

Classes emphasize each child's own mind-body learning and physical development through dance.

We present an open class in the first semester and a performance at the end of the year.
